His availability for the Merseyside derby match against Everton will delight Jurgen Klopp given the Liverpool boss will be without the likes of Thiago Alcantara and Andy Robertson for the match at Anfield due to injury, while Curtis Jones is still suspended.
Gakpo has started five of the seven Premier League matches in which he has featured this season, scoring two goals along the way.
Klopp's men are fourth in the table heading into Saturday's game and three points behind Tottenham and Arsenal.
Liverpool will hope to make it four wins out of five against Everton when they host their local rivals.
